In the light of the best public health advice from the Government/HSE/Chief Medical Officer/ and in line with the Diocese and the Irish Bishops:

  • This weekend, (March 21st/22nd) we are suspending all weekend Masses until further advised. We will endeavour to keep numbers under 100 people.
  • The Bishops advise that there is no obligation to attend Sunday Mass at this time.
  • All are advised to practice ‘social distancing’ (sit two metres apart from the next person)
  • Unless further advised, going forward, we will have Mass in the main church on each weekday only as there are not usually more than 20 people present.
  • Baptisms at 12.00 on Saturdays will be held but only immediate family are permitted.
  • In case of funerals, we will work closely with the Undertakers. They will have their own restrictions in the light of all these current measures. Again, immediate family permitted only.
  • There are no weddings booked into the Church until late April.
  • The church will remain open for quiet prayer and to light candles in the mornings. The Friars will offer Mass privately for all intentions.
